is a free week long camp for kids who have lost a parent, guardian, or sibling. While this might seem contradictory for some, this camp is the most magical, joyous, fun, silly, and love-filled place I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.
Childhood grief impacts kids more than they express to the outside world. At camp, they share their experiences and freely express their feelings. It is a complicated enmeshment of pain and respite that is needed for so many of them. I love this organization so much and it wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful people who volunteer their time and those who donate to make it happen. Please consider donating to this very special cause ❤️
It was an incredible year with my same campers as the past 2 summers and I couldn’t be prouder of how much they’ve grown and young people they’re becoming.
Major shoutout to my co-counselors , , and for making this week so seamless. I can’t wait to do it again next year!!
Thank you to all the amazing counselors, grief specialists, and managers who make this week happen. So grateful to be a part of this and the work we all do together!
Every person will experience loss and grief at some point in their lives. For our campers, it’s a lot sooner than most. But there is hope and healing and it shouldn’t have to be an isolating experience. If you need someone to talk to or resources, please feel free to reach out. You are not alone.
