🚗 About a year ago, we attempted the lifestyle... with our Ford Focus hatchback 🤣. We converted our car into a sleeper, packed up our life and set off for our North American tour.

We had big dreams of driving for 3 months across Canada and the US, but our journey came to an abrupt halt halfway through when we lost Fiona the Ford to rust and old age.

Things definitely didn't go according to plan, but it was still an adventure we'll never forget. Rust in Peace, Fiona. This one's for you ✌

Anyone feeling a little cabin fever-y at the moment? Yeah, us too. 🏠

We're grateful to be safely working from home, but our days are starting to blend together. Pjs are our new uniforms and we're playing hide-and-seek with an alien... 👽 Things are getting weird over here, friends. Even after spending 380+ consecutive days together last year, being in isolation is frustrating even if you've had practice with the one(s) you're with.

This is worth it though. Staying home and resisting the urge to visit loved ones and to travel is worth it to protect people from getting sick. We can do this.

to the super goofy photoshoot in 2018 that led to our engagement 🙈. Fun fact: Our wedding is planned for almost exactly 6️⃣ months away today! So, instead of wishing we could be somewhere exploring, let's cheers to fun adventures close to home instead 🥂

“Hoian was as beautiful as it was stressful. It’s a city in known for it’s tailoring and for it’s lanterns, so while we were visiting I had two goals in mind: Get some dresses made and walk around at night to take some photos of the city lit up.

Negotation and haggling is a huge part of Vietnamese culture and areas that I'm always trying to improve in. The tailoring turned out to be a disaster because I didn’t do enough research and almost cost us a month’s worth of budget on clothing that, in the end, I didn’t want. Seeing the lanterns at night was challenging because of the swarms of people and the merchants trying to sell us boat rides. Needless to say, after a few days of struggles, I was feeling so defeated and overwhelmed.

That’s right around the night when we accidently stumbled upon this illuminated heart. We didn’t even have to dodge any people to take some photos and we could just enjoy a moment together. I remember being so grateful for Greg and his patience through all of my random ideas and desires while we were traveling. He’s the best travel buddy I could ever dream of and so supportive of my ideas. Today and every day I want to say thanks for loving me in all of my moments, I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. I love you, Greg.” -Krystal .

Hard to believe that exactly one year ago we were exploring Thailand for the first time! 🌴

We loved this country so much we went back a second time during our 5 months in Southeast Asia. The gorgeous temples, wonderful people, flavourful food and jaw-dropping beaches will be sure to enchant you too.

The sun has set on one of the most adventurous years of our lives 🌅

In 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣ we learned how to surf in the Philippines, we trekked through the jungle in Vietnam, we drove through the Rocky Mountains in Canada, we explored volcanic rock in the Greek Islands and kayaked in ocean off the shores of Croatia. Thanks for continuing to follow along 🙏

⏰🎄 Our Christmas countdown begin in !

A Christmas market in mid-November? Yes, please! All of the delicious food and beautiful lights without the cold weather 🌟.

The Bupadest Christmas Fair and Winter carnival lasts until the 1st of January and has tons of food stalls, craft vendors and free concerts. It was a fun surprise to find it during our visit in November last year 🙌. Pro tip: Ask the total cost before you order food in the market, sometimes you are charged by its weight! 🍽

😮 The rumours are true: we've returned back to our home in Canada, and although it feels that not much has changed since we've been gone, we are certainly different‼️
