If Dean Village couldn’t get any more magical, visiting in autumn with all the trees changing colours and matching the cute architecture adds a whole other level!

After a session down in the village, we stopped in the west end to grab a coffee and a sweet treat before parting ways. It was such a fun morning!

this is what it looks like to elope in autumn in Edinburgh 🍂
(TLDR: it looks HELLA GOOD)

I spent the day with M + M exploring some iconic locations in Edinburgh! From their first look at the Ross Fountain to sipping coffee at The Milkman, we soaked in the sunny morning and all the autumnal colours! A quick taxi ride later, we stopped outside of Craigmillar Castle for a more private location for vows & a little change of scenery with these iconic castle ruins and beautiful field!

City elopements can still be intimate! Starting early enough to avoid the tourists and having a photographer who knows the lesser known spots is so helpful!!

a moody, misty, day on the Isle of Skye with M + E!

We spent all day exploring the island! Starting at the iconic Quiraing, frolicking on the shores of lochs, saying “hi” to sheep, and laying in front of castle ruins! It was the perfect moody day here in October & once we were done with exploring, we stopped in Portree for a pint!

If you’re looking for a spot to get married in Scotland that’s full of peaks, castle ruins, and cute sheep, Skye is a perfect spot! It’s just off the west coast and easily accessible by car if you fly into Inverness, Glasgow, or Edinburgh! I’m so excited to be back in April (and still have dates open!)

Believe me, I’m not much of a morning person, but starting your photo session at 8am is soooo worth it to avoid crowds of tourists that are also excited to explore these locations!
Both old town & Dean Village are so popular, but if we start early enough in the morning it’s pretty peaceful and makes for a much more relaxed and fun experience 🩵
(we can absolutely grab a coffee during your shoot too)
