🍂 It doesn't matter if the place isn't famous or iconic. This one was found by chance — lost in the middle of nowhere, completely isolated, with no trail to follow.

✨ That's exactly what made it worth stopping for. Not for a quick shot and move on, but for hours. Long enough to learn how the light shifted, how the leaves sounded underfoot, how the whole place breathed.

📚 You don't need a guide or a pin on a map. You need time and the willingness to wander until something stops you cold — and then to actually stay.

🌿 Push further than you planned. Get lost on purpose. Fall in love with a place no one sent you to. Then shoot it like it's yours — because for that afternoon, it was.

Same Delta, different silence.

Same stretch of the Po Delta as the last post — but this time, after the color had nearly gone. I deliberately crushed the lower half into deep shadow. Not a mistake. A choice.

By killing the foreground detail, the eye has nowhere to go but into that gradient: orange to pink, pink to violet, violet to deep blue. Those thin posts rising from the dark water become lines on a canvas. Pure minimalism.

Sometimes the shot is about showing less, better.

This spot in the Po Delta lets you shoot a sunset over water even when the sun sets inland. One of those channels between the sea and the valley.

I used my smartphone — a bigger part of my workflow every day.

The most important things in photography are technique and having emotions to tell. Not the latest flagship camera.

🌈 Some storms leave chaos. Others leave rainbows.

It's been a while, almost three months since my last post. At the end of March I was in a serious accident that forced me to step away from the outdoors, from photography, from everything I love. Not the kind of pause you plan for.

A few weeks ago I finally started again. Returned to the woods, the quiet coastline, the salt marshes I love most in their winter solitude. The forest felt different. Sharper. More alive. I've been catching sunsets, chasing dawns, already mapping out mountain routes for the coming weeks.

I came back for moments like this. A storm had just rolled through, and for a few minutes the sky put on a show I'll never forget. That rainbow stretching across the still basin, it felt like a welcome sign.

I'm back. Let's go. 🌅

❄️ A cold night on Passo Rolle, scouting in the dark with the Pale di San Martino watching over the scene.

✨ I came here chasing a starry sky. The conditions were perfect, clear air, no haze, everything aligned… except the moon. It was too bright, too present, washing away the stars before they could even appear. I knew it might happen, still, I had to try.

📚 Sometimes photography is also this, waiting, testing, failing, and learning something for the next time.

🥶 And yes… it was freezing cold.

Blue hour in the Dolomites, one of those moments where everything slows down.

From above, the winter landscape of Lake Molveno reveals its quiet geometry, winding roads, frozen edges and layered mountains fading into the distance, while the last warm light slips beyond the horizon.

This palette has always felt like home to me.

Hard rock, soft clouds and a reminder I always come back to.

This frame is all about light and observation. The side light carving the Dolomite wall, the clouds slicing through the peak, the natural depth created by layers of rock.

Nothing exotic in the gear, though.
This was shot on my iPhone at 5x.

Because in the end, it’s rarely about having the “right” camera. It’s about seeing the moment, understanding the light, and never stopping experimenting.

A winter sunset on Passo Rolle, in the heart of the Dolomites.No urgency, no message to push, just light, silence, and space to breathe.

Sometimes stepping away isn’t absence.It’s preparation.
