"Stranger Things"
It took me six trips to Iceland to finally find one of my favorite places in the world: Vestrahorn beneath a perfectly clear sky and dancing Northern Lights.🐉
Last March, together with the photographers on my photo tour, we were lucky enough to experience one of those truly unforgettable nights.
With the tide at its lowest, I took advantage of the semi-frozen foreground, using its textures and leading lines to create depth and guide the eye through the frame, all the way toward Vestrahorn.
📸The image is made of 24 exposures in total. The first six vertical frames are each composed of three exposures using focus stacking, allowing me to have everything sharp, from the foreground all the way to the mountain. I then captured a separate six-frame vertical panorama for the sky, using the right shutter speed to freeze the fast-moving, dancing Northern Lights above Vestrahorn.
🚀Experience the Northern Lights and photograph Iceland with us next March! 🔥Join us — only a few spots left.
