Dear 𝗠𝗜𝗥𝗞𝗢 𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗖𝗔 ,
It started with one message: “I want to open a bar. I like the way you work. I want you to be the one taking the photos.”
There were no walls yet, no menu, no name on the door. Just an idea, and the two of us trying to figure out what Sensus should look like, how it should speak, and how it could feel different from every other place in town.
Then it became real. And every time I walked in to say hi, a Deez Nuts was already waiting for me on the counter. I never had to ask.
Behind the camera, you gave me something rare: trust. You let me experiment, fail, try again, and push things further than I would have dared on my own. Many of the shots I’m proudest of exist because you said “go for it” when I wasn’t sure.
Outside of work, you gave me even more. I came in as your photographer and left as your friend, and a better person than when I started.
Monday was the last night. The space is closing, but what we built doesn’t live in those walls. It lives in the people who sat at that bar, in every photo, and in a friendship that isn’t going anywhere.
Thank you for the first message, and for everything after it.
To whatever you pour next. 🥃
