ROLLING IN THE DEEP

In questo punto il torrente Astico rallenta la sua corsa e si incaglia tra le rocce, permettendo anche, per i più temerari, un bagno rinfrescante; l’acqua è gelida ma nelle calde giornate estive le sponde si popolano di persone; una buona alternativa alla spiaggia! Le foto sono state scattate a una decina di minuti l’una dall’altra: il fuoco del tramonto risalta le acque verde smeraldo del fiume, creando un effetto incredibile 😁

At this point the Astico river slows down and runs aground among the rocks, also allowing, for the more daring, a refreshing bath; the water is freezing but on hot summer days the banks are crowded with people; a good alternative to the beach! The photos were taken about ten minutes from each other: the fire of the sunset highlights the emerald green waters of the river, creating an incredible effect 😁

PERFECT DAY

Di ritorno dalle Dolomiti, decisi di prendere “la strada più lunga” per tornare a casa, proprio per fermarmi al Lago di Carezza: decisamente una buona idea, non solo per il panorama, ma anche per l’atmosfera di questi luoghi che mi ricorda sempre la Germania, specialmente nei chioschetti qui e là: birra e würstel con crauti, dopo un bellissimo viaggio fotografico, furono la giusta ricompensa. 😎

Back from the Dolomites, I decided to take "the long way" to go home, just to stop at Lake Carezza: definitely a good idea, not only for the view, but also for the atmosphere of these places that always reminds me Germany, especially in the kiosks here and there: beer and sausage with sauerkraut, after a beautiful photographic trip, were the right reward. 😎

WHITE ROOM

Al momento di questo scatto, vi era un silenzio assordante interrotto solamente dal fruscio del vento e da qualche cinguettio di qualche uc***lo in lontananza; con il gelo nelle vene, scattai questa foto e rimasi chino sul mirino ad osservare la scena: ero totalmente perso nell’ambiente che mi circondava. Le crepe del ghiaccio si fecero sentire, catturando la mia attenzione: meglio andare

Amo la fotografia anche per questo: mi spinge in luoghi (e ad orari) in cui non sarei andato, facendomi provare emozioni nuove e differenti ogni volta.

At the moment of this shot, there was a deafening silence interrupted only by the rustle of the wind and the chirping of some birds in the distance; with the cold in my veins, I took this photo and I was bent over the viewfinder to observe the scene: I was totally lost in the environment that surrounded me. The cracks in the ice made themselves felt, catching my attention: better go

I love photography also for this: it pushes me to places (and at times) where I would not have gone, making me feel new and different emotions every time.
