Hello, friends!
It feels like an eternity since I last posted here—and honestly, I'm not sure if the algorithms will even show this to anyone—but I had to share an update, and a few thoughts.
This past year back in PA has been a whirlwind. For those who may have missed my hiatus, I'm back home after living in Sicily, and the transition has been profoundly challenging. My time abroad opened me up to a new version of myself; I grew in ways that make it hard to fit back into my 'pre-Italy box.' It's been tough not to just hit rewind and go back. I've been quiet, retreating inward, and taking the time to figure out my next chapter.
One of my biggest hurdles right now is the lack of studio space. The search is on, and the current real estate market is definitely making it frustrating (a pain anyone looking for a home can relate to!). This inability to create has honestly left me feeling like I'm fading.
My focus hasn't been on photography lately, but everything changed when I received a message from Abbie's mom about her senior session. First, I definitely shed a tear realizing how old that makes me! But truly, working with this family again reminded me of just how much I have missed connecting with all of you and watching your families grow. Just look at Abbie through the years—she is a true inspiration!
To Abigail and her wonderful family: thank you. Thank you for your many years of trust, and for choosing me to be part of this incredible milestone. I am forever grateful. (A dedicated post for Abbie is coming soon!)
