Information of Wai वाई हे भारताच्या महाराष्ट्र राज्यातील सातारा जिल्ह्यातील एक शहर आहे. वाई कृष्णा नदीच्या काठावर असलेले एक धार्मिक क्षेत्र आहे. काही जण वाईला दक्षिण काशी मानतात. सरदार रास्ते यांनी १७६२ मध्ये एकाच दगडातून सलगपणे घडविलेली मूर्ती असलेले वाईचे ढोल्या गणपतीचे मंदिर प्रसिद्ध आहे. हा गणपती वाईचे ग्रामदैवत आहे. वाईमध्ये सिद्धेश्वर मंदिरातील श्री सिद्धनाथांची संजीवन समाधी, गंगा रामेश्वर, काशी विश्वनाथ, लक्ष्मी नारायण, समर्थ रामदासांनी स्थापन केलेले रोकडोबा हनुमान इत्यादी मंदिरे आहेत. वाई येथे मराठी विश्वकोश मंडळाचे कार्यालय आहे. येथे वैदिक शिक्षण देणारी प्राज्ञपाठशाला इ.स. १९०१ पासून सुरू आहे. सातारा जिल्ह्यातील वाई हे गाव अठराव्या व एकोणिसाव्या शतकामध्ये महाराष्ट्राची सांस्कृतिक राजधानी होती, त्‍याच्या खुणा आजही जागोजाग पहायला मिळतात. कृष्णेच्या तीरावर वसलेले वाई ऐतिहासिकदृष्ट्या प्रसिद्ध आहे. एके काळी ते इथल्या वैशिष्ट्यपूर्ण घाटांसाठी आणि मंदिरांसाठीही प्रसिद्ध होते. पण पुढे वाईच्या कृष्णा नदीचे पाणी इतके कमी झाले की सर्व घाटांची शोभा नष्टप्राय झाली. वाई येथे राणी लक्ष्मीबाईचा जन्म झाला तीचे आडनाव तांबे असे होते

Ganesha is also invoked as patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.Several texts relate mythological anecdotesassociated with his birth and exploits and explain his distinct iconography. Near Brhmanshahi there are Vitthal and Ganpati temples. Ramdoh ghat has Rameshwar temple Ramkund and Chilavali Devi temple. Gangapuri ghat has Lord Shiva Dwarka Bahiroba Dattatray Temple. Ganpati Aali ghat has Ganpati and Kashi Vishveshvar temples. In Dharma Puri are Lord Vishnu temple and Mahalaxmi temple. Rokdoba temple maruti is built by Ramdas Swami. Shiva is the "destroyer of evil and the transformer" within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Vishnu.In Shaivism tradition, Shiva is the Supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe. In the goddess tradition of Hinduism called Shaktism, the goddess is described as supreme, yet Shiva is revered along with Vishnu and Brahma. A goddess is stated to be the energy and creative power (Shakti) of each, with Parvati the equal complementary partner of Shiva.He is one of the five equivalent deities in Panchayatana puja of the Smarta tradition of Hinduism.
