Rollers and Bee eaters are the ones which fascinate me the most, though there be rarer birds. . Why? Because I never been able to get a good photograph of them ever. A dream and a wish all the way from 2016 got fulfilled near a garbage dump on the ECR. Whenever I see them, I become the young mechanical uniform wearing guy who was waiting for the teacher to leave ( scared tobunk then .aathi005.__ ) to shoot in the near by Okkiyum curve. .tamilnadu

Shooting at night is something I have always dreaded. It took me quite some time to get used to my camera and its limits. Like how they say, you must let a gun set in your hand to get familiar with it, the little z50 of mine, already the peak of ergonomic design, took no time.

Was nostalgic to visit the primary school I grew up and to sit at the exact classrooms which seem a lot smaller than how they looked 18 years ago. Was reflecting alongside Benjamin, a classmate from higher schooling as to how much, at the initial stages of life, bullying can shape and frame our mindset convincing us that we don't belong and that we mean nothing to the state of existence then. ( which in and off itself is a 67 member cocoon). Being bullied for being wayy obese then, got to me, affecting the way I perceived myself and the ways I would sabotage and restrict my self to pen and paper hobbies, disneys animated classics etc. So today when I went to attend 's play at the same venue, made it a point to climb the very tree I dreaded back then, which I thought I couldn't climb because of my weight.

With no elephants in sight I went haywire with everything I could see. A great lesson in patience, timing and more patie...

With no elephants in sight I went haywire with everything I could see. A great lesson in patience, timing and more patience. this place was a trial ground, more than just a bunch of tea estates put together and the travel companions helped in the wait!

Losing a subject of photographic focus is one thing, but an elephant who drew you into an art form? Irreplaceable. Typing this through moist eyes big guy, theppakadu and sylvan lodge won't be the same without the sound of the footsteps frightening the nearby German shepherd.
