Thanumalayan Temple located in Suchindram in the Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu is of importance to both Shaivaite and Vaishnavite sects of Hinduism. The main deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma in a single form called Thanumalayan.This 17th-century temple is famous for its architectural grandeur.

There are 4 musical pillars carved out of a single stone in the Alankara Mandapam area and they emit the sounds of various musical notes when struck.

"Sanctuary of Truth" - is a wood building which is a hybrid of temple and castle based on Ayutthaya period and Buddhist, Hindu beliefs. The castle build by Mr.Lek Viriyaphan, the founder of the ancient city and Erawan elephant museum.

"Ring of fire" - This decade's last solar eclipse! A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the Sun for a viewer on Earth. An annular solar eclipse takes place when the moon's apparent diameter is smaller than that of the Sun's and blocks most of the Sun's light. This causes the Sun to look like a ring (annulus) of fire.
