It started with a missed meeting in 2020—when Divya was living in New York City and Rahul was just visiting. The plans fell through, but the spark didn’t.
In 2021, fate gave them another shot when Rahul moved to Hell’s Kitchen. From neighbors to best friends, they did everything side by side—early workouts, competitive ping pong matches, movie nights, and everyday routines that slowly turned into something more.
A year later, they made a new move to San Francisco, living together for the first time and building a life that felt like home.
Then came a spontaneous car camping trip to Malibu. At 7 a.m., on a quiet cliff overlooking the ocean—with no grand setup, no audience, just the sound of the waves—Rahul got down on one knee.
Sleepy, surprised, and completely sure… Divya said yes. 🌊💍

The Pool Haldi, named ‘Where Dhokla meets Rasam’ after our Guajarti-Tamil couple, quietly stole our hearts and became our favourite event of the M&A wedding. A soft, wintry morning breeze, jazz melodies drifting into old-school Bollywood (courtesy of Smiti & Adhir), the prettiest haldi décor we’ve ever seen - set against a sweeping panoramic view of Udaipur. Add to that a bride and groom who were impossibly relaxed, glowing, and fully in the moment.

Friends and siblings turned hosts, transforming the morning into a series of playful face-offs between our very competitive couple. Sides were chosen, loyalties declared, and the guests - brimming with enthusiasm - did not hesitate to fight fiercely (and loudly) for their team.Who do you think won - Dhokla or Rasam?
