ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ಮಠ
ಆದರೆ ನೋಡಿದ್ದು ಬಸದಿಬೆಟ್ಟ.ನಾನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಗೆಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ವಿ ಆದರೇ ಅತಿಯಾದ ಮಳೆಯ ಕಾರಣ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಯಬೇಕಿದ್ದ ಶಾಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅರ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊಟಕುಗೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಬೇಸತ್ತು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸುತ್ತಾಡಿ ನಂತರ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀ ಕುಡಿಯಲೆಂದು ಒಂದು ಅಂಗಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೈಕ್ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಟೀ ಕುಡಿತಾ ಆ ಅಂಗಡಿಯವನನ್ನ ಕೇಳಿದ್ವಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಟೂರಿಸ್ಟ್ ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ ಇದ್ದೀಯ ಅಂತ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದೇ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟ, ಸರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೊರಟಾಗ ಮಳೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ತುಮಕೂರಿನ ಕ್ಯಾತ್ಸಂದ್ರದಿಂದ 2KM ಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇದೊಂದು ಬೃಹತ್ ಏಕಶಿಲಾ ಬೆಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಂದರಗಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಸದಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಹೆಸರು ಬರಲು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಜೈನ ಬಸದಿಗಳೆ ಕಾರಣ.

ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ತುದಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇ ಕಡಿದು ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲೇರಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಷ್ಟದ ಕೆಲಸ ಅಂತಾನೆ ಹೇಳಬಹುದು, ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ವಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ.

ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಏರಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋದರೆ, ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮದೇವರ ಗುಡಿ ಇದೆ. ಕುದುರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮದೇವರ ಕೆತ್ತನೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿದೆ.

ಬಸದಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಟ್ಟಸವಾದ ವಿಶಾಲ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಜೈನ ಬಸದಿಗಳಿವೆ. ಒಂದು ಬಸದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈನತೀರ್ಥಂಕರರಾದ ಚಂದ್ರನಾಥರ ಅಮೃತಶಿಲೆಯ ಸುಂದರ ವಿಗ್ರಹವಿದೆ. ಅನತಿ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಪಾಶ್ವನಾಥರ ಪುರಾತನ ಬಸದಿ ಇದೆ. ಪಕ್ಕದದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಶ್ವನಾಥರ ಬಸದಿ ಇದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜನ ವಾರಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುವವರು ದೂರದ ಊರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವುದು ಒಳಿತು.
