I developed my passion for the African bush from a very young age. Following in the footsteps of my grandfather, an honorary Kruger Park ranger, I was exposed very early on in life to the beauty and majesty of nature, instilling in me a love for the bush and all its creatures, which endures to this day. As a result, I was fortunate enough to train and develop my guiding skills and knowledge at Sin
gita, the world-renowned game reserve. This enabled me to learn how to combine my love of nature, my photographic skills and more importantly, how to impart this knowledge and communicate to people the wonder that is the African bush. From Singita to Chitwa Chitwa, and then to Lion Sands Game Reserve, I gained nine years of valuable experience as a guide and as a manager in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and the Kruger Park. Travelling and exploring the wilderness of Southern Africa during this time has enriched my experience and expanded my knowledge of this vast area. I currently divide my time between freelancing for WildEarth as a host on the world-famous SafariLIVE show, where, I get to share the beauty and uniqueness of Africa (and my favourite spotted cats!) with a wide audience around the globe, as well as organising and privately guiding safaris in some of the worlds most epic wilderness areas for Wanderingthru and doing private photographic orientated guiding trips for Oryx Photo Tours.
