The things we observe stay with us either distant of near. They linger, they fade and sometimes they re emerge as a recent memory. Like this collection of observations from Prague this year. Yah even that close eye ball…. And the way light reflects. Simple observations

A bird at our earlier location and the rest of the landscape shots at Stokksness. Felt like an alternate reality where it looks like walking on water. Is this what the Moon must feel like? Rhetorical question that! Don’t know and most likely won’t know in this life. Actually I’m happy walking on earth and exploring these out of the world views. I love our planet for these amazing different experiences. Gratitude for this life and for these experiences 🙏

When you hear of ice blue do you think of one shade? Wrong! We saw so many that day at Vatnajökull Glacier and later at Jökulsárlón. Was an experience of a lifetime walking inside and above these caves. Calling out to the kiddos from above through an ice hole and them hearing me from down there a little surprised, having snow ball fights all this made us feel like a children. So in the moment and in complete awe. Nature is the biggest equalizer 🙏

We took a break from our Iceland pictures as we were bogged down with some other work. We are back at it again and here is us sharing with you pictures from the Skogafoss, Reynisfjara, Dyrholaey. Unending miles of colours of icy cold….. while driving from one place to another it sometimes could just be us and those brrrrrrrrrr cold scenes.

This Day last year : June 12th
The main day of the Kora….
Morning we started on an almost empty stomach and even caught the morning sunrise.
The arduous and never ending climb and finally after a few hours we were at the Dolmala Pass. From the pictures you can’t make out the height. The prayer flags were everywhere. There was a surge of emotions in this abode of the Goddess Tara. Also seen are the beautiful Gaurikund, the place where Maa Parvati created Ganesha before her bath.
While we were taking a lil break on our downhill climb saw an avalanche and was too taken aback while watching it let alone document it. I captured some small pretty Himalayan flowers there.
After this we did not take any more photographs. But it has been lovely reliving a dream …. Maybe I wished this in many lifetimes and hence in this one he not only made it happen for us

This day last year on the 11th of June was the day we had been preparing for. All those months of planning and getting ourselves ready was finally here.
The Saga Daga festival and the innumerable people doing the Kora as it was the most auspicious time of the year. The weather was also favorable. We didn’t see much snow and in a way that was good. Even without, it was already a challenge. The earlier week there was a blizzard and soon after we finished our Kora too the weather changed.
Going through the Yam Dwaar was an emotional moment and a surreal one. It’s a story that can’t be shared on this platform. Seeing Mahadev there with us every step of the journey made it easier and also magical. We later reached our halt for the night Derapuk Monastry. The tea houses were where we stayed for the night. We went picking rocks from the pure stream near by. The water was icy cold and so calming. Just experiencing that walk about even without the high altitude and low oxygen felt like a slice of heaven. After all we were in the abode of the Gods. The mind was so still. Totally in the present moment.

This day last year 10th June
We were at Mansarovar. Thanks to Dr Swarup and all his guidance we had the most beautiful puja done for us and our ancestors here. We even prayed for all our friends and their families. We had our amazing guide Norbu get the water for our bathing. That water changed the state of mind for all those not feeling well in our party of six. Suddenly there was a shift and we were all so excited for the next leg. This was also the most awaited full moon night of Saga Daga festival. The picture before the full moon is the balcony view of Mahadev of our hotel in Darchen. Stay tuned …. We are almost close to the main part of the journey.

This day last year on 9th June
The drive from Saga to Mansarovar.
That first glimpse of his abode Mt Kailash. Goose bumps and euphoria and total disbelief that it was actually happening.
The last image was from our room at the hotel at Mansarovar. I just sat gazing at this sight. Woke up and went and checked again, like as if it was a dream and I needed to see it to believe that I am in the land of Mahadev. I still feel it was all like a dream. 🙏 Blessed
