शिंदे राजवंश के संस्थापक श्रीमंत महाराजा महादजी शिंदे श्रीमंत राणोजीराव महाराज शिंद के पांचवे पुत्र थे. उनका स्वर्गवास माघ शुध्द १३ बुधवार संवत १८५० तदनुसार दिनांक १३ फरवरी सन १७९४ में हुवा उन्होने अपने प्रभावी जीवन में जो महान कार्य किये वे भारत के इतिहास स्वर्णिम पृष्ठ है. यह छत्री उनकी पुनीत स्मृति में श्रीमंत महाराजा माधवराव सिंधिया प्रथम ने संवत १९६५ में बनवाई तथा जेष्ठ शुध्द शनिवार | सवंत १९७१ सन १९१३ में उन्ही ककरकमलो से इस मूर्ति की स्थापना संपन्न हुई. इसी छत्री के आहाते में के श्रीमंत महांदजी महाराज की छत्री है जहां उनका अंतिम संस्कार संपन्न हुवा था. तथा एक मारुती का मंदिर भी है जिसे श्रीमंत माधवराव महाराज शिंदे प्रथम नें संवत १९७२ सन १९१५ में बनवाया तथा संवत १९७६ सन १९९९ में मूर्ति की स्थापना की. ___________________________________________________________
