Met this little beauty today—the White-throated Sparrow. With its crisp black-and-white stripes and that soft yellow spot near the eye, it almost looks hand-painted. But what really stayed with me was its song… calm, clear, and somehow nostalgic.
They say its call sounds like “Oh-sweet-Canada-Canada” or “Old-Sam-Peabody-Peabody”—and once you hear it, you can’t unhear it.
Sometimes it’s the quietest birds that leave the strongest impression.
