While we made an unplanned stopover at Rishikesh, what could be a better way to spend the day but take a dip in the holy water of Ganga Mayya! Seen here, with mountain guide, Vineet, we decided to jump from our rafts into the cold water.. what's interesting is what had happened moments before this picture was clicked. Rapid - Wave - Off the Raft - Into the River - Under the Raft (sea survival training kicks in) - Back on the surface

It's been too long since I enjoyed these campfires. Finally, I got the calling today!
Mountains are calling and I must go. I am going to kick start this year's mountain madness* with Kuari Pass in the Garhwal Himalayas. Kuari Pass is an easy trek and is very popular amongst beginners. We are going to light and fast. It'll certainly help me get my sea level gills back to mountain lungs! :)

* Direct reflection of the book that I've been reading - The Climb by Anatoli Boukreev and G. Weston DeWalt (Mountaineering enthusiasts will understand the reference)
