Raghurajpur is the name of small village in puri where people of every household is a true Artist. You will find people indulge in their canvas in every house.

This Canvas is self made from cotton sarees, tamarind seeds and chalk powder which is called the "pata" . And the painting on the canvas is called "Patachitra". They use the herbal colors for their painting which is made from stones and sea shells.

Village is also famous for its Palm leaves & tussar paintings. They also paints on coconut and nut( Areca) shells. You will find sequence of paintings on their house Walls which tells a story Called - "katha" and the form of painting is called "katha chitra". They mainly paints Hindu mythological characters and stories.

Every craft shows the true skills and hardship of the people. Detailing of each craft will spellbound you. It's a must visit destination for any art lover.
