🚨 FROM VIRAL CAMPAIGN TO THE STREETS: The "Cockroach Janta Party" is taking over Pune! 🪳👇
India’s viral internet sensation, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), is expanding its massive online movement into real-world street protests. Following a major demonstration in New Delhi, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has called on supporters to gather today at 4:00 PM at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Why are they protesting? 📢
The movement has tapped into deep frustration among millions of young Indians over recent major education scandals, including alleged examination fraud, question paper leaks, and the abrupt cancellation of the national medical entrance exam.
What are their demands? 🛑
Resignation: They are demanding the immediate resignation or removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The Ultimatum: The CJP has given the government a strict 7-day window. If the minister does not step down, the group promises to launch an indefinite sit-in at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi starting June 20th.
"We will only return from Delhi after securing the resignation of the country's Education Minister," Dipke stated on X. What started as an online satirical campaign has now exploded into a cross-country student movement.
