हूं एक शब्द जो अपने स्वैग में रहता हूं
किसी की धड़कन तो किसी की चाहत हूं ।

खुशनसीब हैं जिनको हमारा सहारा हैं
बेदर्दों को तो हमने कभी नहीं संवारा हैं ।

मंदिरों और मस्जिदों के आगे हर कोई अपना माथा टेकता हैं
मगर दिलों में बस हमारा नाम ही जपता हैं।

हर किसी की दिनचर्या हम ही से शुरू होती हैं
किसीको मिलते हैं और कई आंखें बेदर्द सोती हैं ।

मुलाकातों की आड़ में हम ख़्वाब पिरोते हैं
सचाई की भीड़ में सपने भी तोड़ते हैं ।

कहने को तो हम, हर किसी की मोहब्बत हैं
बस एक तरफा प्यार हैं और हम हर किसी की ज़रूरत हैं ।

जिंदगी के पन्नो में बस हमारा ही ज़िक्र होता हैं
जपते हैं हर कोई और हमें शायद बुलाते हैं।

जलते देखा है हमने भी ख्वाबों को
रांख में बनते देखा हैं कई सपनो को
ज़िन्दगी के हर पहलू में हमने चिंगारी जलाई हैं।
बस समझ ना पाए कि समुद्र में भी आग कैसे लगाई है।

बदलते मौसम की चाहत में हमने भी इस से खेला है।
जली हैं हांथ फिर भी मरहम लगाया हैं।
वह सपनो का सौदागर ही क्या जिसने आग से खेला नहीं हैं।
वह सिकंदर ही क्या जिसने अपनी राहें अंगारो में बनाई हैं।

सुलगता तोह सूरज भी हैं, लेकिन उसकी इस सुलगहट की चमक से यह ग्रह मंडल चमकता है।
अरमानों के आग की चिंगारी में हमने भी इस से खेलना सीखा है।
ज़िन्दगी के राह पे चलने के लिए हमने इसे मशाल बनाया है।
मोहब्बत की कसम तेरे दम पे अपने अरमानों को फिर से सुलगाया हैं ।
