A space is more than what you see. It’s what you feel when you’re there.

For this film, the idea was to let the architecture, light and movement tell the story.

Not just showing the property, but giving you a little sense of what it feels like to be inside it.

Capturing the right mood of the room. No less, no more.

The table was set. The food was ready. I just wanted the frame to feel like the room itself.

The movement stayed. The moment stayed.

Sat there watching the bartender work, trying to capture that rhythm with a slow shutter.

A few misses. Then one frame that finally felt right.

The best part of an architecture shoot is waiting for the right light.

Setting up the camera, finding the frame, and then watching the sky slowly light up the scene.

For Asilo Pune , The The Westin Pune Koregaon Park , I spent a ample amount of time just waiting for that right ambient light to fall into place.

The architecture was already there. I just had to wait for the moment that brought it all together.

One of my favourite parts of shooting this project.

A smile, a tray of fresh coconuts, and that first little feeling of, yes, I’m welcomed here.

A frame from my work for Niraamaya Life , where the welcome begins before you even check in.

The final frame is polished. The process never is.

A little look at what went into creating this one for Skinvest.

Ideas, references, light, movement, retakes, random discussions, and a whole lot of people making things work.

This is the part of a shoot I really enjoy. Watching an idea slowly move from a thought to something you can actually see on screen.

Grateful to have created this with SKiNVEST® / divya malpani maheshwari, and for everyone who was part of making the day happen.

The final images are only one part of the story. This is the other half.
