Some journeys are measured in kilometres.
Others are measured by what they leave behind within you.
The Pandharpur Wari is one of those journeys.
For days, I walked alongside thousands of Warkaris, each carrying their own story, their own struggles, and an unshakable faith in Vitthal. There was something beautiful about watching people from every walk of life move together with a single purpose. No rush, no expectations—just devotion, discipline, and countless footsteps echoing the same name.
As a cinematographer and photographer, I went there to document one of India’s most remarkable pilgrimages.
But somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like an observer.
The chants, the smiles of strangers, the endless roads, the rain, the dust, the music, the moments of silence—they all became part of an experience that no camera can completely capture.
And then came Pandharpur.
Standing before Vitthal wasn’t just another destination on the map. It was one of those rare moments where words quietly step aside. Some things are meant to be felt, not explained.
None of this would have been possible without an incredible team that walked every step with the same dedication behind the camera as the Warkaris did on the road. Every frame we created carries a piece of all of us.
These photographs are just a glimpse of a journey that I’ll carry with me for a very long time.
