Hands talk a lot more than what our eyes tell. There are more nervous connections between the brain and palm of your hands than any other body part. Happiness or sadness, joy or pain or whatever it maybe, your hands reflects the same mood. Hands give it's 100 percent support to human beings.Hands pray to God, hands help you prepare a delicious meal, hands help you to eat food, it protects you from harm and helps you protect others from harm, they are also capable of giving a loved one a hug making them feel special. While some hands are good with arts and crafts, the others are good at playing musical instruments, drawing, riding vehicles etc.. Hands can even substitute for your legs at times when your legs are weak. To train ones hand and show its true skill has alwaysbeen a great challenge to human beings. Every second hand gives it's full support in terms of self-improvisation.Yes, in which ever industry we all are in, hands can turn our ideas, thoughts and imaginations into a reality.
The time we were born it was someone’s hands that welcomed you in to this world with a lot of love, joy and care. It can be a doctor, it can be a nurse or it can also be a village midwife who is experienced in home births without any clinical equipment. Yes, I am very proud to start this journey. A photography documentary on "Hands" and here is my first photograph of my grandmother's hand, she is no more now. I photographed her hands a few days before she bid farewell. She thought me only one thing which I still to date feel is the best learning I have had and that is how to give respect to everyone. My inspiration to peruse this documentary comes from a book in Tamil "Siria velicham"(translates to : Small Light) written by a national award winner and mister SRamakrishnan. Hope all of you will enjoy, like and support this documentary
Thank you🙏.
