Bhola

Bhola is a male tiger that's currently injured due to a territorial fight between him and Hercules ( rumoured). His father has been pushing him out so he roams between Dhela and Phato zone now where he seems to have carved out a territory for himself.

This fine morning we found fresh pugmarks on a lot of the roads suggesting a male tiger had walked for hours. After checking multiple roads we found Bhola sitting beside the road. He looked tired and he was limping. He still managed to cover a lot of ground even in that condition showing the true strength and spirit of a tiger.

A Young Male Tiger Crossing The River at Paar.

Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR), originally established as Hailey National Park in 1936, is a jewel in the crown of India's wildlife conservation efforts. Located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, CTR is not only the first national park in India, but also the first to come under the Project Tiger initiative.
Renamed in honor of Jim Corbett in 1956, a hunter-turned-naturalist who played a crucial role in its establishment, the park is a living testament to conservation success.

A Wonderful Welcome by Dudhwa National Park

Dudhwa National Park is a protected area in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, that was established in 1977. The park covers an area of 490 square kilometers and is located in the district of Lakhimpur Kheri, along the Indo-Nepal border.

The history of Dudhwa National Park dates back to the early 20th century when the area was used as a hunting ground by the British rulers of India. In 1958, the area was declared a wildlife sanctuary by the government of Uttar Pradesh, with the aim of protecting the swamp deer population, which was facing the threat of extinction.

In 1977, the sanctuary was upgraded to a national park, and additional areas were added to the protected area. The park was also declared a tiger reserve in 1987, as the area was found to have a significant population of Bengal tigers.

Scissor 🐯

A bold Tigress from the heart of Dudhwa grasslands. Scissor has become quite the favourite among the visitors with her regular movement in the tourism area and her bold walks.

We hope to see the next generation of her lineage by the time the season reopens later this year.

Wild dogs of Tadoba

Dholes are apex predators in India’s forests, keeping herbivore populations like deer in check. This helps maintain the balance of the ecosystem. Their pack hunting style means they can take down larger prey, but they also eat smaller animals.

Conservation-wise, they’re endangered because of habitat loss, disease from domestic dogs, and prey depletion. Some states are working on dhole-specific monitoring and protection, but more awareness is needed since they’re less famous than tigers or leopards.

Fresh From A Fight.

Kajri after a territory defending fight with another female was seen with fresh injury marks and blood on her legs and chest area.

We entered for the mid day safari and within a few minutes we spotted her walking towards us.

She was marking her territory to show dominance over the area and with time I think she can be a real powerful female.

She is the daughter of Collarwali, who is the daughter of Lara who is the daughter of the legendary Queen of Tadoba Madhuri.

Clearly the Queens DNA 🧬 still flows in her too 🐯
