The Mythical Town of Khajuraho || Madhya Pradesh || India

Khajuraho is a perfectly mystifying small town with all the elements of a prehistoric settlement, which depicts the rich and progressive Indian culture. The Chandelas built this impeccable piece of art more than a millennium ago, the time when the West was still in its dark ages, almost 5 centuries prior to the European Renaissance and Columbus discovering the new world.

Today, it is one of the key attractions for foreign tourist visiting India. The town is dotted with big and small temples, the Western Group of Temple being the most majestic one and presently a UNESCO World Heritage site. This temple complex is bound to mesmerise with all its grandeur. In its present form spreads across around 6 kilometers and houses temples build between 900 AD and 1000 AD. Though this place is famous and marketed across the world for its erotic arts, incidentally these arts consists only 10% of the total arts displayed in the monuments.
