As photographers and image-makers, we often chase newness, but sometimes the deepest work is in returning — to old albums, fading silver prints, handwritten names behind photographs, and the emotional archaeology of family archives.

It also made me think about the possibility of recreating an old photograph of my mother — not simply to restore an image, but to experience a fleeting sense of interaction across time, memory, and absence.

Created using Meta AI, this animation became more than a technological experiment for me. It felt like a quiet collaboration between memory and machine — where artificial intelligence was not replacing the photograph, but helping us emotionally reconnect with it.
