Many people get confused amongst Jain and Buddist Idols. You can differentiate between them by using the below:

1. The idols of Tirthankars in Jainism that are in the sitting position will always have the "Gyan Mudra"

However, Buddist idols are not restricted to one and have several mudras.

2. Jain idols always have a "Chinh" (Symbol) below their feet, however Buddist don't.

3. Buddha is generally potrayed to have curly hair, however Jain Tirthankars pluck their hair and get bald when choosing the life of a monk. If the idol has long hair then that is a Buddhist Idol

4. Jain Idol's eyeballs are focussed on the nose but there are no such restriction in Buddhism.

In Sri Lanka, I came across some marvelous art. I was in love with them. Though I don't know how to paint or draw well, I really admire how people use their imagination and pour it into the canvas and produce a masterpiece!

To celebrate 25 years of my Dad's graduation we went to Varanasi. He met his whole batch after 25 years. And me on the other hand, can't live without meeting my friends even for a week coz we have so much to talk and discuss. Everything changes in this kinda time span but what doesn't change is our love for our friends and the adrenaline rush you get when you pass those college corridors, where you spent time with your friends, got scolded by a teacher, went to the washroom together to cheat, the list is just endless...
