Dhanushkodi, located on the southeastern tip of Pamban Island in Tamil Nadu, is famously known as the "Ghost Town of India" and the "Land's End". It is renowned for being destroyed by the 1964 cyclone, leaving behind haunting ruins, and its immense mythological significance as the site of Ram Setu (Adam's Bridge). It is also famous for being the meeting point of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean.
