With extreme grief and sorrow, informing you all that our first teacher, my guru, our uncle Prof. Dinesh Sharma is no more🙏🏻.
He passed away on 20th Sep, 2.01 am due to cardiac arrest because of a short illness.

For those who know about my history, he introduced me and my younger brother to the world of wildlife, photography and nature. From birding with him to uncountable safaris, from learning how to hold a camera from him to becoming what I'm today, it's all because of him!
You left us too soon 'Dadipapa'🙌😫. Safaris shall never be the same without you! I shall remember the lessons we've learnt from you.
Om Shanti🕉️

If looks could Kill!

Can you guess the Tigress?

Tigress Flehmen response!

Flehmening, is a behavior in which an animal curls back its upper lip exposing its front teeth, inhales with the nostrils usually closed, and then often holds this position for several seconds. The behavior facilitates the transfer of pheromones and other scents into the vomeronasal organ (VNO, or Jacobson's organ) located above the roof of the mouth via a duct which exits just behind the front teeth of the animal.
This behaviour helps Tiger to identify scents of any other tigers in their territory or to know more about that individual if he or she is ready to mate, etc.

Night Stalker!
An Indian porcupine

Posting a camera trap image after a long long time as I’ve been working on few projects with a super new device in my tool list and must say really satisfied with the kind of results it’s giving. Presenting you the first image created from the one of its kind .wildtech Camera trap sensor!
It’s stunning narrow laser field of view technology has reduced the false triggers drastically and thus helps in achieving precise results and saves card space and battery life! #

A lot more stack of images created from this masterpiece coming soon✨

Tree Hugger of Panna!

During our ongoing Panna photo tour, we stumbled upon this super attractive P-141's female cub today morning.
She was constantly scratching this particular tree and rubbing it's body over it. Spent some good time with her and the male sibling today morning.

Made some high key monochromes too, will post soon.
So far we have seen 3 tigers in our 2 drives. 4 more safaris to go, wish us luck🤞

What's up everyone!

Here's Me, from the kind of habitat I only wished I'd ever be!
Tried my hands on portrait photography using studio lights and advanced flash techniques! Ohh and what fun it was... Shooting until 5 Am in the morning and making conceptual images. Trust me, it's always easy to be behind the camera rather than being on the front! Thanks to my dear friend for introducing me to this beautiful art of studio lights..I'm sure I've learnt a lot of new concepts waiting to try out in wildlife camera trapping.

Here's a picture of me, doing one of the most difficult task, posing🙈😂.

Meanwhile, this shoot also embarks on the countdown of my new revamped website which I've been working on for the last 3 months.
Lots of new services in the store! I hope to release it by the 3rd week of April, looking forward to it!

Textured Gold💫

Light, Dust, Massive trees & Tiger!

A smart approach to wildlife photography would be to look at the forest as a Studio, the elements as the props, the sunlight as the light source and a subject just as a random subject.
The actual fun is when you add the textures, elements and lighting from a proper angle and in proper quantity and then waiting for the subject to complete the frame.

Made this image at Bandhavgarh in the winters of 2023.

What's up Everyone!
Back home from a 15 day long trip to Corbett (Dhikala) followed by Bharatpur!
⚕️Health updates : my tick bite situation has gradually improved a lot and I have almost 90% clear skin and a great relief from itching. Although my blood has developed a severe allergy to insects and ticks, I have to take care a lot in the field and avoid mosquito bites and other insect bites as much as possible.
Currently on medication and seems like I'm in remission. I want to thank everyone who were kind enough to check out on me during my poor health from last 1 year. As I mentioned earlier, I was hopeful that it would change and it did! Manifestation really helped me.

Also it was my birthday yesterday and I decided to celebrate it solo this year in Bharatpur, although my participants made sure to surprise me with a cake a day prior, such a sweet gesture!
Thank you everyone for Wishing me on my special day, my DM was flooded with messages and I really appreciate such a loving response from my Insta fam♥️

Slowly getting back to the track and photo tours, meanwhile I have started working on a new project which I am supposed to sometime around release next month. Stay tuned!

The Magic of going at the Eye level!
Pedwali from Corbett.

The Sambhar road terrain provides some super opportunities for getting eye level tiger images as the road has a lot of ditch and elevations. Also, the surrounding is at a higher elevation compared to road.
💡 Pro
Try including foregrounds in your image to make a normal image more appealing and give it a eye level feel!
