FLY AWAY

Been more than a year already that I have danced properly So long that I have been on stage expressing emotions, feeling the rage I so wanna dance again like a fallen leaf on a windy day like a bird I just wanna fly away... That feeling when music start that rush of energy beating heart audience cheering in front of stage costumes makeup in backstage I want to dance nonstop and experience all of this. I want to loose senses only to find myself, I so miss. Happiest while dancing I forget all worries of yesterday It just makes everything better my feelings - my painting potrays All ill say is that I so wanna dance again like a fallen leaf on a windy day like a bird I just wanna fly away...

Dear Women

You fight wars invisible to the naked eyes,
Going out there among the many predators,
Piercing through you with their needle-like views.
Yet you maintain that broad smile despite your everyday fights.
Fights with the society, fight for rights and fight within.
As a mother, a sister, a wife, and a friend, you play multiple roles.

Against the tide, going up the ladder,
Excelling in every challenge being thrown.
You have no one to prove to but yourself.

But remember you're a lioness in the vast jungle,
With hyenas and foxes at your circumference,
Waiting for a mistake or a moment of weakness.
Be strong, and create a pack to exhibit to our society,
that long gone were the days you were considered insecure and a weakness.
And are now a strong independent soul rising from the ashes.

Music, the strongest form of magic

The dog barks, the cat meows, but the bird? The bird sings!
Pearls of gibberish woven together with a hint of melody et voila! You have a song. Everyone calls this gibberish, a bird song.
The song of a bird cannot be understood, no words are at play, just the symphony does the trick and makes you appreciate the greatness of something which doesn't even have any meaning.
Music, it has no language! Yet there's music for every emotion, you name it. A song for when you're happy or when you're sad, when it's bright or when it's bad.
Now add another layer onto this piece of music- words.
Absolutely magical I'd say.
The realm of music now melts into the echo of words and now the music is free to narrate a story in a way that we can understand- the act of language which takes the meaning of the tunes and translates it into words and that's what we call, a song.
A song can just be instrumental, it'd still give you the adrenaline rush and leave chills down your spine.
A song won't necessarily need words, a set of tunes will leave almost the same imprint.

The Window

All I remember is about the window. Because every time we used to visit that old house in the winters, I always used to sit beside the window. That one window.
Others would move around the house and go out for a morning walk, or sit by one end of the lake and watch the sun dissolve on the other end, but me, I always kept indoors, sitting beside the window. I loved to write. I would scribble sentences from the big red book, and immaturely draw talking animals from the pages, all by the window. There was a small bed there, and I would never get out of it. All my meals, all my stories, playing board games with the others, reading the newspaper, listening to the radio, sleeping, and again waking up, all by the window. It fascinated me to find a new scene accross the broken glass everyday. New people passing by, new songs played on the flute by the flute seller, new clouds hanging on the sky, new flowers blooming in the soil, a new world every single day, from the same old window. And then one day, years later, a young boy came to the window. Oblivious that I could see him looking at his own reflection, he rubbed his palm over his forehead to clean some mud. He smiled looking at his own pretty face, then cupped his palms and placed them on the cold glass to peak inside. And his eyes shined to see an empty house with some piles of scribbled papers, several crayons, some newspapers, an old radio, and all the furniture covered with white sheets; except a bed, by the window.
