The "Hanoi Incense Village," known as Quang Phu Cau, is located in the Ung Hoa district, about 35km (a 45–60 minute drive) south of central Hanoi. Famous for its centuries-old craft, the village is a major attraction because artisans bundle and dry bright, vibrant red incense sticks into massive, blooming bouquet-like formations.
Costs: Exploring the public village and streets is completely free. However, if you step into specific family factories or courtyards set up for photography, expect to pay a small fee ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 VND.
How to Get There from Old Quarter Hanoi?
Bus: Take Bus 01 from Old Quarter Hanoi then 91 from Yen Nghia Bus Station to Quang Phu Cau, then walk about 3 minutes to the village.
