Classic Compositions Where exquisite art and exclusivity meet I'm Dr.P.S.RAJA. The founder of Classic Compositions. I'm a Veterinary Surgeon. An Equine Practitioner by Profession.

A Fine Art Photographer by Passion. Based in Mumbai, India. Where I live with my wife and two daughters. "Nature speaks in silence, and through each image, I strive to listen—and help others hear." Through Classic Compositions, I share not just photographs — but moments of awe, fragments of stillness, and the quiet grandeur of the natural world as I see and feel it. Horses have been my lifelong co

mpanions, not only in the field but also in the depths of my imagination. Throughout the years, a silent yearning stayed with me — the desire to express what words could not, to capture the moments of connection, grace, and wilderness that moved me. That unspoken longing was photography — an art that quietly followed me like a shadow, waiting for its time to rise. That time arrived during the quiet, reflective pause of the COVID era. In the stillness, I turned inward — and finally outward, through my lens. I began capturing the very beings I had cared for, this time not as a doctor, but as an artist. And when I shared these images with the world, something beautiful unfolded. The response was deeply humbling — people across continents found joy, calm, and emotion in the frames I had created. It was then I understood: photography was not just a passion — it was my voice, my truth, my offering.
“The earth has music for those who listen.” – William Shakespeare. And through my lens, I strive to listen — to light, to silence, to the stories whispered by nature. My photography is drawn to the wild, the unguarded, the timeless — expansive landscapes, soulful wildlife, and above all, the majestic presence of horses. Each image is a quiet meditation, a celebration of the natural world’s beauty, captured not just with a camera but with care, reverence, and emotion. This body of work is more than a portfolio — it is the unfolding of a journey. A tribute to the raw elegance of nature. A reflection of my inner world. A bridge between art and empathy. Through each photograph, I offer a window into the way I see life — serene, powerful, and endlessly beautiful.Thank you for stepping into my world. May these images bring to your heart the same peace, wonder, and connection they bring to mine.

FINE ART WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY. LIMITED EDITION
LORKULUP - Fiery Eyes
Masai Mara , Kenya. Edition of 15

In the golden hush of a Masai Mara morning, when the savannah stirs with quiet promise, I found myself in the presence of royalty — Lorkulup, the legendary lion of these ancient plains.
Bathed in soft light, he stood tall against the rolling green of the Mara, his mane catching the breeze like a crown forged by the wild. There was no need for ceremony — his presence alone commanded reverence. In that stillness, I understood why he is called The King of the Jungle. It is not merely his stature, but the weight of his silence, the gravity in his gaze, the unshakable authority he exudes with every breath.
As I watched from a respectful distance, he paused to survey his kingdom. His eyes — fierce, unblinking, and searing — scanned the land not with curiosity, but with possession. There was fire in them, a primal wisdom honed through survival, battles, and legacy. In that fleeting moment, I raised my lens and captured something more than a portrait — I captured a presence, an emotion, a legend in thought.
This fine art print is an ode to that unforgettable encounter. To the rare privilege of witnessing not just a lion, but the spirit of the wild itself. Lorkulup’s gaze is more than intense — it is timeless. A reminder that true majesty doesn’t roar; it simply is.

Among them, a witness!!

( Limited edition of 30 )

As the sun bowed behind the horizon of Kilimanjaro, the golden hush of Amboseli revealed a moment of quiet intensity.

A cheetah mother and her cubs lingered in the open, guarding a hard-won meal. The air was charged—scavengers circled in the distance, shadows stretched long across the savannah, and every instinct was awake.

Bound by the rules of the wild, I remained on the road—lens poised, heart racing. Each member of the family faced a different direction, alert to unseen threats. And then, in a fleeting pause that felt eternal, one cub turned.

His gaze met mine.

Across distance, across species—something unspoken passed.
A connection. Raw. Wordless. Pure.

This photograph holds that fragile thread—
a moment suspended between survival and stillness, instinct and awareness, the wild and the human spirit.

Only **30 limited edition prints** of this image will ever be released.

“Transient Light”
Captured in Ladakh region,India. These landscapes explore light as a shaping force rather than an illuminating one.

At high altitude, weather moves with visible intention. Clouds descend, shadows migrate, and mountains shift from mass to abstraction within moments. The terrain is austere — stripped of excess, defined by contour and silence.

The compositions are built on distance and restraint. Foreground plains remain sparse, allowing the ridgelines to unfold in measured layers. Color is not decorative; it is geological. Blues deepen into atmosphere, ochres reveal sediment, and shadow carves temporary architecture across the slopes.

Nothing in these frames is static. Even stone appears in transition.

The work does not seek grandeur, but presence.

In Ladakh, permanence belongs to rock —
but character belongs to light.

“Matriarchs”
These portraits were made in the Ladakh region of India, where landscape, climate, and culture shape lives with quiet intensity.

The women portrayed here are matriarchs — not by title, but by presence. They are anchors of family and custodians of tradition, carrying histories that are both personal and collective. In their faces, time is visible; in their posture, resilience is unmistakable.

Textiles, beads, and layered garments speak of identity rooted in place. The environment is harsh, yet their expressions hold warmth, steadiness, and authority. These are not performative portraits. They are encounters grounded in trust and shared humanity.

Light is used not to dramatize, but to reveal — allowing texture, age, and character to surface with honesty.

In Ladakh, survival is communal, and continuity is sustained through women.

These matriarchs do not simply inhabit tradition.
They embody it.

“Sovereignty”
This series examines sovereignty in the wild — where power is not singular, but inherited, tested, and shared.

A lioness stands within tall grass, her cub close to her side. Here, strength begins in vigilance. Protection is the first expression of authority, and survival is taught before it is claimed.

At the water’s edge, a male lowers his head to drink. Even apex dominance is bound to necessity. Power pauses, not diminished, but grounded in instinct and endurance.

Finally, a coalition stands together, watchful and assured. Their unity represents maturity forged through rivalry and alliance. Territory is not merely held — it is defended through presence.

Rendered in monochrome, the work strips away spectacle and reveals structure — muscle, scar, posture, and gaze defining the hierarchy of the plains.

In lions, sovereignty is not proclaimed.
It is embodied.

Vestige!!
These structures stand as vestiges of human presence — enduring witnesses to time, silence, and memory.

Built in stone, they resist disappearance, yet their purpose has quietly dissolved. What remains is not abandonment, but trace — a lingering imprint of lives once lived within these walls.

Nature does not conquer them; it surrounds them. Grass rises, trees lean inward, light settles gently across textured surfaces. The architecture persists with dignity, carrying the weight of years without spectacle.

In stillness, these spaces reveal their true voice. They speak of endurance rather than decay, of continuity rather than loss.

Through monochrome restraint, the work seeks to distill form, silence, and presence — allowing the viewer to encounter not a deserted house, but a fragment of time suspended.

A vestige is never absence. It is what remains.
