Earlier this year I had a very unusual request for a shoot. had enquired if I can document her family get together in Kerala.

She was visiting India after 30 years and this was a trip she wanted to remember and also capture all the moments her family would have with thier extended family Here. Needless to say I was super excited to be documenting, this was one of the best shoots I’ve ever had because everyone was so warm and loving and I felt like I was part of thier family for that day. The best part of my job is when I find good human connections.

In 2005 when this boy said I love you to me it was so silly, we barely knew or understood each other. Just an intense crush, lust at first sight as I’d like to now joke, but he swears he knew I was going to be his wife. I distinctly remember the moment I feel in love with him, we were sitting near the canteen and I always sweat on my nose, he wiped it, and that was it. Also he used to buy me parotas in the Loyola canteen for 10 rupees.

Years later when we met again our first date was for parotas. I joke now you corrected me with just parotas, that simple. I think when someone is made for you in this life, no matter what you end up with them. I can’t believe we met almost 21 years ago. Crazy, but no amount of time seems to be enough.
