SAND STORM (STACKED + PANORAMA)
We travelled deep into the desert, chasing surreal rock formations that almost felt otherworldly. The silence was so pure that it felt eerie. The occasional glimpse of shining eyes from desert foxes hidden in the darkness. We had planned four different compositions for the night, carefully visualising each frame before the Milky Way aligned above the landscape. Out of four frames we could complete only 2 frames. As the galactic core began rising above the dunes, strong winds swept across the desert. Within minutes, the calm night turned into a raging sandstorm. Sand struck our faces, cameras, and tripods while visibility rapidly dropped as particles filled our eyes.
For a moment, it felt impossible to finish this panorama. Yet standing beneath such a pristine night sky, I knew I had to complete it. Astrophotography is not always about perfect conditions, sometimes it’s about enduring the unpredictability of nature while still holding onto the passion to create.
