Ibisbill- a difficult to spot wader due to brilliant camouflage by it near the streams where it is found.

Largely grey but the black face and the red beak with red eyes strikingly stand out.

Blood Pheasant- This beautiful bird is called so because its red plumage looks like blood splatters on snow, however it is feathers and not blood. It lives in high altitude and hence is adapted to live in low oxygen conditions.

Photographs and chance encounters like this make all the treks and early morning waking up worth it.
The cub was feeding happily indifferent to the rain while mommy was sleeping a little inside.
