Some weddings stay with you long after you’ve packed your cameras away and Shivangi & Ishan’s wedding was one of them.
When we first spoke, I knew this wasn’t going to be just another destination wedding. Every decision had a reason. Khajuraho wasn’t chosen because it was different, it was chosen because it was home. A place that held childhood memories, family history, and a sense of belonging.
For four days, guests from across the world gathered in one of India’s most extraordinary heritage towns. The celebrations unfolded slowly, with mornings spent exploring the temples of Khajuraho and evenings filled with rituals, music and laughter. It was a wedding that encouraged people to experience a place, not just attend an event.
The morning after the wedding, we returned to the Western Group of Temples for one final chapter. With permissions secured and just a small window to photograph, we created portraits that felt like a natural extension of the story. The temples weren’t just a backdrop, they were part of the reason this wedding existed in the first place.
