On World Photography Day - 19th August 2010 our association the Goan Shutterbugs was launched at the hands of the then Chief Minister of Goa. The whole idea of forming our association started on 6th September 2009, when SEVEN shutterbugs – Saish Borkar, Saurabh Dalvi, Apoorv Bhembre, Nilesh Prabhudesai, Sayli Sawant, Radhakant Divkar and Lynn Barreto Miranda met on a rainy day to have a photo walk
in Borda, Margao. This small step turned out to be a giant catalyst in forming, Goa’s First Photography Association "The GOAN SHUTTERBUGS"
IDENTITY OF GOAN SHUTTERBUGS:
Immaterial if you are a year old or 111, whether you have a high tech DSLR or a simple point & shoot or even a mobile phone, if Photography be your hobby / profession – You are welcome. OBJECTIVES OF THE GOAN SHUTTERBUGS:
Promotion of photography through organizing of photo walks, workshops, competitions and exhibition; And primarily assisting in documenting the rich culture, heritage, ethos and philosophy that is Goa, besides honing on personal skills. THE REACH OF THE GOAN SHUTTERBUGS:
