I keep seeing people criticize Elon Musk for not spending his money solving world hunger, fixing healthcare, or every other problem on Earth.
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think that’s his job.
The guy is obsessed with rockets, AI, energy, engineering, and pushing technology forward. That’s what he’s chosen to dedicate his life to. We don’t ask doctors to build rockets, so why do we expect rocket builders to solve every social problem?
There are people passionate about poverty, healthcare, education, and humanitarian work. They should be supported too. But expecting one person to carry every problem in the world feels strange to me.
Curious where you stand on this. Do you think billionaires have a moral responsibility to solve society’s biggest problems, or should they focus on what they’re best at?
DM me your thoughts.
