The wake up call was at 5.30 AM. Yes! By the time we reached Jaisalmer,it was quite late in the afternoon and we were literally starving! But, there are no decent restaurants on the way to Jaisalmer from Jodhpur. We really regretted not carrying anything with us. We were under presumption that we will stop midway to have lunch. (Lesson: Always carry some food with you. I know it does make your luggage little heavy, but backup is always recommended.) … 830 more words [ 828 more words ]

So here we reached Jodhpur! As I told you, the view from our hostel “hostelavie” was so superb. The breakfast with that view was something else...It was amazing! So, after breakfast the first thing we went to was Umaid Bhawan Palace, what a beauty it was! I must say, truly it is one of the most beautiful palaces that I have ever seen. [ 705 more words ]

Next day early morning we left for Jodhpur, but we were not heading directly there. We first stopped at Ajmer. will were there for a while to visit the Dargah- Ajmer Sharif. We had a plan to spend some more time at Ajmer, But there was not much to do after the visit of the Darga, so we left from there much earlier than we expected. [ 367 more words ]

Bapu Bazaar is a must visit market where you can definitely bargain and get something amazing at really cheap price. The start of day 2 was Royal - Fort day!! The first place we headed to was Aamer Fort. The fort will look very familiar, as you have already seen that fort many times in movies. On the way to Aamer for, we stopped at Elephant Village, but we did not find it worth, it was quite expensive!
