Smokey conditions, lightening storms, snow and a VERY cranky back this weekend. I literally spent 90% of the trail thinking I’d have to call it while simultaneously negotiating with myself to just go a bit further. It made for an ample amount of type 2 fun but with a lot of patience I still made it… just a lot slower than usual. But let me tell you the pain was without a doubt worth the gain to experience moments like this. 🥹⛰️🙌🏼
