“This is a great Image and one that truly represents London street life.

I love that it is a portraiture Image but rather than focus close up on the subject you have chosen to include the busy background so that we can get a sense of place and scale etc. It helps tell the story well about the subject.

I love the use of light and composition within this Image. I also love the use of long exposure to show the fast movement of the bus as it shows us just how busy and fast paced the city of London is on a day to day basis.

This Image reminds me of fashion documentary projects that you see in lifestyle/ fashion magazines. Just a great Image overall.

The photographer should be very pleased with this Image and I can’t wait to see more of their work in the future. Congratulations on 1st place in this contest as it is very well deserved.”

“This is a beautiful and well balanced extreme macro portfolio that shows strong technical control and great consistency across the series. Focus stacking is handled with precision, maintaining crisp detail on all the subjects without excessive artefacts or blurry areas.

The lighting is nicely diffused, yet still strong enough to reveal stunning texture and detail. Vibrant, clean backgrounds isolate each subject effectively, avoiding over saturation while still having impact. The tight framing makes excellent use of magnification to create engaging, almost abstract studies. Overall, a refined and very impressive body of work.”

“This image is striking. The detailed eye immediately locks with your viewer’s - creating a sense of familiarity and recognition. At the same time, the eye is quite alien, a great representation of the diversity of life on earth. I think the editing choices here were clever, the rest of the image falls away leaving the subject of the eyeball clear as day. I also love the pockmarked texture of this fish, altogether a captivating image.”

A stunning expertly judged portfolio win today for Crowd member .ro in our recent “Reflections” contest, created and judged by 🏆

“This portfolio is just so soothing and aesthetically pleasing to look at. The reflections beautifully capture both light and landform, and a number of them have a lovely ethereal mist, as well. My absolute favorite is the image of the swan swimming across a lake in the Alps. Its wake disturbs the still water, but in a symmetrical way that works with the rest of the frame and the series. Great job!”
