Manipuri Nartanalaya Kolkata An institution solely devoted for the preservation, perpetuation and propagation of Manipuri dance. It has its branches in Kolkata, Mumbai and Imphal (Manipur).

An institution solely devoted for the preservation, perpetuation and propagation of Manipuri dance, was founded by the legendary doyen of Manipuri dance, Guru Bipin Singh along with his well known disciples Guru Kalavati Devi and the Jhaveri Sisters in 1972. It carries out manifold activities in the field of research, publication, creative pursuits and performances. Besides regularly presenting da

nce recitals (traditional and choreographic works) and lecture demonstrations on stage, television all over India and abroad, the institution teaches students, conducts workshops, offers scholarships and free teaching to underprivileged students. Manipuri Nartanalaya has a rare collection of books, photographs, music tapes and manuscripts. There are fourteen publications of Manipuri Nartanalaya.
