Appearance of Lord Narasimha. This scene depicts the scene when Lord Vishnu appears before King of Asuras Hiranyakashipu in half lion and half human form. The asura was given a boon by Lord Brahma that he cannot be killed in day nor night, on air nor on ground, inside the house nor outside of it, not by any weapons nor by any rule and neither by any Human, God or Animal. So Lord Vishnu took this fierce form and fullfilled all those conditions and slayed the demon.
