It was dusk and the light had an ultra-violet color to it, a final burst of color pigmentation as night and day rushed at each other in clash of color prisms before darkness finally and inevitably won!
The famous JAMES PRINCEP GHAT in Kolkata. As dusk fell, the maajhis (the ferry-walas) slowly wrapped up their day's work and headed home to their family while the Vidyasagar Setu lit up and shone it's beauty.

When it comes to long exposure photography, no stones are left unturned to get that perfect blend of light, subject and the timing to your frame. This picture was taken just as the sun went down the horizon and left a beautiful set of colors hanging on for a bit longer. It's amazing how the movement of the sea becomes stagnant and tricks our eyes into believing it's gas when we see a long exposure photograph of water. An amazing 70 second shot.

Its not so much what you learn about Mumbai, it's what you learn about yourself, really. Its a funny old hippie thing, but it's true as well. You find out a lot about yourself and your tolerance and about your inclusiveness. Those daily struggles in the Mumbai local trains teaches a person a lot. Once you've lived in Mumbai, no other city is good enough!

The kalaghoda art festival in Mumbai is one of the most famous attractions for photographers across the country. One may find some very interesting structural or fine art displayed during the festival or some talented performers doing justice to their roles. Among the midst of all that art, this little girl, while selling tiaras to the visitors of the festival, saw the camera and struck a pose for it and she nailed it. The innocence portrayed by her turned this simple picture into a beautiful frame.
