Film & Photography Club organised its 1st Photowalk with the theme of Winter at Maidan on 9th January, 2024.

We had an overwhelming participation from all semesters & courses.

We thank all of those who took part in this fantastic event.

This is a famous photograph of Mother Teresa with a child captured by Raghu Rai.
A photo of Mother Mary with Christ seen on the wall above.
Narrating some candid experiences, Rai says that he considered her a saint much before she was canonised and decided to capture her within the environs of her abode. “Resonance in any art form is a very important aspect. The Missionaries of Charity (Mother Teresa’s institution) have photographs of Mother Mary and Christ everywhere. So, he tried to bring those references in the pictures, he clicked of Mother... She dedicated her life in the name of God. She was our Mother Mary. And to resonate that feeling, he took pictures where Christ and Mary can also be seen in the frames.

One of my cinema pet peeves is when people refer to the structure of Christopher Nolan's Memento as "a gimmick." A gimmick is a hook that serves no point. It gets your attention, but by its very nature has no payoff.
Losing your memory would have to go close to one of the worst experience anyone could ever suffer from. In the movie Memento', we get to see how bad it is to suffer from short term memory loss. It also gives us the chance to see how far a patient of such a disease will go to remember what is most important to him. In the vain of Pulp Fiction', Memento is a movie that has to be seen to be believed. It is no wonder that this movie is so popular with the movie going public around the world.

Leonard Shelby wears expensive, tailored suits, drives a late model Jaguar sedan, but lives in cheap, anonymous motels, paying his way with thick wads of cash. Although he looks like a successful businessman, his only work is the pursuit of vengeance: tracking and punishing the man who r***d and murdered his wife. The difficulty of locating his wife's killer is compounded by the fact that Leonard suffers from a rare, untreatable form of amnesia'. Although he can recall details of life before his accident' Leonard cannot remember what happened fifteen minutes ago, where he is, where he is going, or why.

Film and Photography Club organised
*PHOTOWALK* which was held on 15th January 2023
with Alumni Imtiajul Haque Mollah.

A Photowalk where the students of iLEAD participated and got to learn a lot about different kinds of street photography. The photowalk was quite interesting and engaging too.
Locations was Shobhabazar, Shyambazar, Baghbazar and it's vicinity.
