Heartiest congratulations to Shubhodeep Roy on the international recognition of his remarkable photo essay, “Life Along the River,” featured by The Pictorial List and The Pictorialist. His work beautifully captures the enduring bond between Kolkata, the Hooghly River, and its people through a powerful visual narrative.

The Official Indian Delegation to ProgresFestival 2026

We are proud to share that the Photography Club of India (PCI) is part of the Official Indian Delegation to ProgresFestival 2026, to be held in Genoa, Italy.

A feature article published by Progressive Street shines a light on the photographers and visual storytellers who will represent India and our Photography Club of India, at this international gathering of photography and culture. Together, this delegation reflects the incredible diversity, creativity, and evolving visual language of contemporary Indian photography.

From the streets of Kolkata to the villages of India, from intimate personal narratives to stories of culture, identity, memory, humanity, resilience, and everyday life—these photographers bring with them a rich tapestry of perspectives that transcend borders and connect people through the universal language of images.

This journey has been years in the making. What began as individual pursuits of storytelling has now become a collective representation of Indian photography on a global stage. We are honoured to stand alongside such an inspiring group of artists as their work travels from India to Italy, contributing to an international dialogue of creativity, culture, and visual expression.

The exhibition venue and official dates will be announced soon, and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming weeks.

Our sincere thanks to Progressive Street, ProgresFestival, and everyone who continues to support the growth of photography and visual storytelling across borders.

From Kolkata to Genoa. From India to the world.
One delegation. Many voices. One shared language—Photography.

Jadavpur University Photographic Club invites you to Montage 2026 from 24-26 April 2026 at Gallery Gold

Where frames find their walls, and moments turn into memories through light, silence, and perspective. Not just an exhibition-but a dialogue between the photographer and the observer.
