The night was dark,
We were walking down the park.
Hand in hand eye at eye,
Our lanterns flying high and high.
My love --
The day was ours,
Togetherness of two long years.
The night was getting darker
I said, "Hold me tight Parker".
Your couch was the best to sleep that night.
Warmth of love again lit up the fading light.
Coldness soon took over.
Envy and malice ruling forever.
Again, today I stand there,
The same place where we used to care.
The lantern is also lit up--
Parker! I'm sending the lantern,
I'm sending the letter,
I'm sending my love,
How are you?? Fine and better?
