Snowy Start!

The moment the call came that our spotter has spotted the pair, we were ecstatic. Just the previous evening ended in the female giving out loud mating calls and a response was heard from what seemed like really distant at the time. But little did we know that the darkness of the night got them together and what we surely did not expect was to witness them in courtship for the next 5 days.

Upon hearing about the find the following morning we sure were jumping in joy but were then upraised about the location they have been spotted in and instantly our lead said Sanket bhai our sightings together is never going to come easy. It was a long treacherous climb of almost 3.5 km one way which would give us an elevation gain of a further 2000 ft. Which means that we would be climbing into almost 16000 ft asl and that we thought was going to be the hardest part. Little did we know that the weather was going to get worse through the day and snow down on us with no mercy whatsoever.

All that being said we were so pumped upon going there and seeing these two together that all of which we endured vanished at the very sight of them. It sure was considered a blessing of sorts for us and the days to come could only get better.

The purpose sure played an important role in my journey of seeing these magnificent creatures at their natural best. It downplayed every hardship endured along the way to get there. When the want is strong enough there is almost nothing that can bring you down.

I am so glad that people have shown love to this photograph so much though many have asked if it's a photoshopped image or not. This is a very simple image where light played the key role. In mountain valleys, sunlight distribution isn't uniform, specially in the morning so this kind of settings is very common.
