Why not go Naga?
We have shot hundreds of weddings, but this come with some special package of goodies of the fact that the wedding was a beautiful blend of Western and Naga tradition. The bride in her full Naga traditional attire is accompanied by bunch of damsels and her close relatives marching towards the groom’s place, coupled with continuous singing and merry making.
Now, this gave me goose bumps… as we reached the groom’s place the bride in submission and in honor of her new found parents, takes off her beautiful apparels and puts them on to her mother-in-law, followed by exchange of shawls from both the families, and the groom’s worth is challenged (in a more humor way) by means of demanding gifts of wealth and power… and it goes on.
The point is; all these custom and traditional practices does not bind us anymore. However, I strongly feel that keeping them alive is one big responsibility in order to carry forth our legacy. And above all, it’s just so priceless to preserve those beautiful nitty-gritties of our own roots and culture.
Thank you Athem and Tali for reminding us of our rich culture, and for allowing us to be part of it.

Finally, a sneak peek on the much talked about, D’Café, that took Kohima city by storm. And no doubt the café has proven itself to be a perfect place for Coffee lovers and Foodies alike to rendezvous. Icing on the cake, and the goodies arrived in the person of , the most efficient and genuine Barista.
